Arrejuntada Violinera

Arrejuntada Violinera is an initiative related to and complementary to Castilla Fiddle. Promoted between José Climent and Blanca Altable with the later incorporation of Carlos Martín Aires, it has two main objectives:

  • Consolidate and increase the repertoire of traditional Castilian and Leonese music accessible for contemporary popular violin.

  • Ensure the dissemination of the original versions (or failing that, the richest or most musically interesting) to achieve a style or "dialect" of its own recognizable in its rhythm, ornamentation and adaptation to traditional dance.
